Responsibilities:
Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the building.
Cleans hallways, restrooms, lunchrooms, windows and other common areas by dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and cleaning glass and windows.
Remove trash and cardboard from offices, restrooms and kitchen areas.
Maintain cleanliness in lunchrooms by cleaning sinks, counter tops, microwaves, toaster, toaster oven, coffee area, refrigerator/freezer, tables and chairs.
Clean floors by safely using the cleaning machine.
Uses general cleaning equipment to maintain cleanliness.
Clears snow from entrances & walkways.
Follows all applicable safety rules & procedures.
Reports work accomplished orally or written to supervisor.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High School diploma or equivalent.
No experience required but would prefer previous janitorial experience.
Ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.
Frequently walks, bends, lifts, and carries items.
Ability to shovel snow.
Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.
